The overall story was good， but it really could have been great。 I enjoyed the possessive stalker vibes from the MMC and how he didn't understand his attraction to the FMC which made that aspect of the story in the beginning very interesting。 Things that I found a bit odd and will hopefully be answered in book 2。 How did a politician's daughter the FMC not have something set aside for her by her father？ And why would she even think that a PI would be able to get information on his killer when th The overall story was good， but it really could have been great。 I enjoyed the possessive stalker vibes from the MMC and how he didn't understand his attraction to the FMC which made that aspect of the story in the beginning very interesting。 Things that I found a bit odd and will hopefully be answered in book 2。 How did a politician's daughter the FMC not have something set aside for her by her father？ And why would she even think that a PI would be able to get information on his killer when there was no solid evidence anywhere？ How was the MMC so rich if he was NYC prosecutor？ And how did he get away with so much and nobody noticed？ Shouldn't he have been a hot shot power attorney instead？ Just random thoughts that kept popping up for me。I liked the characters and found them interesting。 I will read the second book when it comes out and hopefully more will come out to make some of the pieces fall into place from book 1。 。。。more

why you matter when I don’t give a fuck about anyone else。”❤️It start with the hero is looking at the heroine in a funeral。 In the beginning the hero admits that he killed someone who currently he was attending the funeral of， who he thought at that time was a very bad guy， who is actually the heroine’s dad… Later we found out that the hero met the heroine during the trial against her dad and the hero is a lawyer。 He was soon captivated by the heroine… The heroine didn’t flirt with him or do any those stuff， the heroine was being herself。 SO THE HERO FALL FIRST AND HE FALL SO HARD FOR HER YOU HAVE NO IDEA… Okay back to the funeral。 Later the hero after the funeral， he begins to stalk the heroine almost every single day。 At first he was doing it to make her safe but deep down he knows he was doing it because HE WAS SO OBSESSED WITH HER🥵❤️ SHE WAS CONSUMING HIS THOUGHTS every single day and he can’t stop thinking about her…。 he tried to be busy at work but his mind always running towards the heroine… Every guy the heroine talked to， every place the heroine goes to work， the hero always follows her and asked the guys what are you talking about with the heroine🥺🥺 And if the guys didn’t say anything or not being honest with him， he hurt them so bad🤣🤣 After a week of stalking her， he finally showed himself to the heroine at her work place。 On first day he showed up， he defended the heroine immediately when someone tries to be rude… And after a week later， he installed cameras to the heroine’s apartment and goes at night to her apartment to watched her… And since the day he 3。5 ⭐️Calista is annoying af， one of my least favorite fmc’s but Hayden？！ THAT MAN IS DELICIOUS 😮💨 There was only one and a half spicy scenes but Hayden’s dirty talk and obsession throughout the book was perfection。Calista is honestly just an awful character。 No personality， no self awareness， and almost ruined the book for me。 Will read the sequel solely for Hayden but if Calista keeps up I might not be able to make it through the sequel。

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 I honestly can't believe what I just read。 The FMC was beyond stupid to a painful degree。 I can't suspend my belief enough to believe that a politician's daughter （who was just murdered） has no understanding or idea what to do in case of a threat or dangerous situation like having a stalker。 Not even going to the police and filing a report once is crazy。 And you're telling me the MMC is constantly showing up， threatening and assaulting people in public， and telling you to your face that he would I honestly can't believe what I just read。 The FMC was beyond stupid to a painful degree。 I can't suspend my belief enough to believe that a politician's daughter （who was just murdered） has no understanding or idea what to do in case of a threat or dangerous situation like having a stalker。 Not even going to the police and filing a report once is crazy。 And you're telling me the MMC is constantly showing up， threatening and assaulting people in public， and telling you to your face that he would kill for you and you have no idea who your stalker is？？？ And with the MMC he's threatening and assaulting multiple people in public settings and nothing happens， he just does whatever no issues and it's one of those things that I also can't suspend my belief enough with。 Usually all of these things would be done in private or secret and there would be a cover up and he does at one point with the fire but still does so much in public with a ton of witnesses。 The FMC also reminds him of his mom， because of course she does。 Because this book was so short I ended up reading the whole thing and even with it ending on a cliff hanger I'm definitely not going to read the next book。 The elements of a stalker romance that I love just weren't here and all of the characters in this book were so unlikeable。 。。。more

Once you’re mine by Morgan bridges！I love the characters on this book， especially her best friend。 I honestly feel like we don’t see enough of their dynamic though， I feel like we need more back story to the characters as well。 I’m hoping once the second book comes out there will be more detail for both of their backstories。 Some parts I felt like I was missing a lot of detail and had to go back to make sure I didn’t miss a page， but overall a 3/5 though！

Talk about a cliff hanger of an ending！ Luckily the second book will be on KU Oct 29th so I won’t have to wait long for answers！ I would say this book is worth the read for me it’s a super easy read and there are moments in the book that will make you melt。 I think her best friend Harper makes this book because of the comedic relief she presents。 I feel like Calistas character is a little dry and very doe eyed。 Hopefully the second book give us answers！
